One can feel the general uncertainty in the company and among business partners. Therefore it is important to deal with this topic by taking sensible measures and not to fall into hysteria.
Nevertheless, we have implemented far-reaching preventive measures to avoid coronavirus diseases among our employees, explains managing director Björn Weber. There has not yet been a proven case in the workforce. The general level of illness is at a relatively normal seasonal level.
Preventive measures have been taken. For example a hygiene guideline for employees has been drawn up, business travel and trade fair visit regulations have been adapted to the current situation, guidelines for transport service providers have been defined and a questionnaire for external companies has been sent out, which must be completed before visiting the site. Organisational preparations have also been made for the case of possible employee illness.
Fortunately, according to the managment, the Chinese subsidiary was able to return to a largely normal course of business. In the meantime, 90 % of the workforce at the Taicang location is now working there again.
